It's a fabulous book. Behind Anne Frank's diary, it is probably the best and most popular book about the Jewish Holocaust experience. I would also recommend Freidrich by Hans Peter Richter and Number the Stars by Lowry.

I would also suggest you do your own homework, and read the books that are assigned to you. They are chosen for a reason. Most of your peers will have read and understood the book, and you won't know the details. This makes you less intelligent than your classmates, and deliberately so, because you chose not to do the work. Why go to school if you aren't going to put in the effort?
