What is melodrama and, in a fiction story, what would you consider too melodramatic?

I'm writing a human realism story and am worried there are sections that might be considered "over the top".

Firstly. do you think that a natural story-telling ability neccessarily means a natural writing ability- or do the two not always go hand in hand?

Secondly, do you think a writer (aspiring or accomplished) should experiment with the other modes of artwork to boraden their inspirations and gather valuable experience of self-expression and inspiration?

I've read many holocaust books but im looking to see what other good books are out there. If some people can give me a couple of names and what their about. I write poetry and I have been approached by a publishing company to compile my poems into a book. They are willing to pay the intial expenses of publishing it and that confused me a bit. Has anyone heard of this company? They became familar with my work through poetry.com (and yes I am aware of their scams when it comes to their anthologies).

Harry is not going to die, so stop saying that. I think that Hallows relates to Hollows as in Godrics Hallows. I think that something big (as in the face of bewteen Voldemort and Harry) is going to happen there. Snape is going to die (YES! SNAPE IS EVIL!) breaking his unbreakable cure to Malfoy's mom. Now I'm not saying that he is going to break it by protecting Harry. Ron and Hermione and tottaly going to hook up, and Ginny and Harry are going to get back together (at the end. Although she is going to try to make Harry jelous and it is so going to work). Voldemort is so going to die and Dumbledore's painting is going to help Harry, because yes Dumbledore is so going to die! Something going to happen to either Mr. or Mrs. Weasly. Percy should die, but he won't. But since he has such a big ego, he won't apoligize till the end when Harry is almost killed by Voldemort.
Since I'm about to run about of letters, I'm going to stop writing. But anyways this is what's going to happen.

I want to sell my poems. And the only answer I can find is "find a publisher". I don't want to sell them for "big bucks". I just need to find a publisher. Unless you can tell me another way to sell them. Thanks
