It is a great book, it talks about acculturation and the struggle to keep your culture and identity in another country / culture.
I really enjoyed it...

i loved the joy luck club, i think the Bonesetter's daughter is my fav but all her books are really great reads

I loved it. Have you seen the movie? It is also great. All books written by Amy Tan are wonderful.

I haven't read it, but my friends have and they suggested me to not come near it. I wouldn't like it at all. I'm more the fantasy/fiction/science fiction person.
