I want to sell my poems. And the only answer I can find is "find a publisher". I don't want to sell them for "big bucks". I just need to find a publisher. Unless you can tell me another way to sell them. Thanks

The poetry market is not a big money maker, and traditional publisher publish very few chapbooks or poetry collections. However, there are plenty of markets for poetry.

Blue Mountain Cards often uses poetry in their greeting cards. Contact them and ask for their submission guidelines.

Many small magazines and webzines publish poetry. Writer's Digest, The Writer, Poets & Writers, all have substantial market databases of magazine publishers looking for poetry.

When submitting, make sure you are following the publisher's guidelines, and sending the type of work they want. For example, you can have the greatest love sonnet in the world, but if you sent it to use we wouldn't publish it, because we don't publish romances or love stories. More writers get rejected for not following directions than for poor writing skills.

Hey,
Mail them to Random house, Magic Carpet, Penguin, basically everyone you can think of. Wait for a reply (yes or no) and then go with the flow. Follow them. They know what they're doing.
