where can I download a book that is still copyrighted? Or read it online?

I will pay a fee to have access to the online book or pay to download the book-where can I find this book online so I dont have to buy the hardcover??

If it was available in ebook format, you may be able to get it for free from you local public library. My library has free ebooks, they are in the catalog just like the bound books. My college library has them, too.
