Would you recommend his book Forever Odd?

2007-01-31 06:46:22 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

First short question:
If you are trying to come up with ideas for a soft sci-fi book but are not a scientist or professor like you see questions about often, is it a sensible idea to write down what events you would like major science in and then research briefly to get an idea?

Second question:
Once you have come up with events that you would like to happen (I want a war or I want this type of ship etc) and reasons for why this character is doing what and why this has to be resolved etc, should you start typing straight away without any major structure to get one big bulge of ideas down in a short story, then fill in the gaps once you are clear about every detail for your plot, which will in the end turn out as the novel you wanted? Or plan, plan, plan, then type, type, type?

Hope people can help - also, feel free to add any other ideas, tips etc as well as answering a question; will be appreciated.

I am writing a short story about a young man who discovers his employer is abusing one of his own daughters. The story is at the point where the abuser know someone is on to him but not who. As a young person what are my protagonists options (I am thinking of having him contact the cops)? What would be a good ending. How would the police peruse this situation when reported…

The entire series revolves around one kingdom, Cywae, which is ruled by the Queen. The first book explores the life of Queen Rodi. The story follows her as she deals with an asshole husband, falls in love, and forms a coven.

The next part of the series is about Rodi's daughter Acorana. She is to inherit the throne. Her story is about growing up, falling in love, and all the heartbreaks along the way.

The third part of the series is about Acorana's best friend Anathina. Her story is one of treachery and betrayal.

When the coven, and kingdom, are betrayed all the women are murdered. And this is where the story truly begins. Their wrongful death leads them to many reincarnations to seek justice. The story will follow them in one life as they seek to right that terrible wrong so very long ago. The reader will be able to see the story from different perspectives, as I will tell every woman's story.

I am an Anne Rice fan, have been for years, but I've never heard of this- apparently there are people out there who believe Lestat is real. I'm not telling anyone what to believe, i mean anythings possible, I was just wondering what makes people believe this.

What is the concept of love in browning's poem "my last duchess"?
I'm doing an essay about it comparing it to 2 other poem but i'm not sure of it
I've not finished writing it yet but I wrote that the concept of love in the poem is material love. He is more interested to the piece of art( the painting od the duchess). He couldn't feel the joy that the duchess felt with the simple thing her life gave her so he killed her

Am I right till here?
