At about a university level?
I'm in grade 11 and fought it hard to understand and keep an interest in it.
Do I need more reading practice?

I'm from Argentina so we don't have tons of books in english. There's this one library that only has books in english, but since they are new, they are kinda expensive. I found a library that has a lot of them, but I don't know what to look for.

The books there are mostly paperback. And the sort of "New York Time's Best Seller author"... I don't really trust those. But anyway, I'm in the mood for a nice novel, romance novel... sort of "story-in-a-small-town-a-long-time-ago" type of novel

Any authors to recommend? Or actual book title?

Thanks in advance!!

I am a big fan of the novels by Nicholas Sparks, and I have read nearly everything he has written. Does anyone know of another author who writes romance novels in a similar style and format?

It was about a futuristic dystopian world where some humans have evolved into sort of androgynous hermaphrodytes. The main character discovers that he is one of these people and gets tangled in the politics of this new subculture and eventually mates with the first of their kind. There is a definite mood of homosexuality in the novels as most of the characters are males who have evolved into these new beings.

Sherlock Holmes was first presumed dead after his fall with Professor down the waterfall but he resurrected again only to retire to a simple life.
Then he resurfaced in Tibet (ref:Mandala of Shelrock Holmes) where he once again had a meeting with Professor (who also didn't die but was presumed to be dead!!).
Now after the event in Tibet was over ;where is Sherlock Holmes now?He can't be alive as he'll be more than 100 years old;so it means his dead.Where did he die finally?Where are his last remains?

Anyone else read this one? I'm on probably my fourth reread right now; it is undoubtedly one of, if not the, best books I have ever read.

For those who have read it...what's your opinion?

Does anyone know where you can purchase Nora Roberts books? I don't want to do the book club thing and I don't want to do the auction thing either. I don't care if they are new or used. I have many titles and I want to continue with my collection. Thanks for your help.

I'm an avid reader and always scouring for good books. Given the myriad options out there, I usually rely on peer advise vs. already-skewed media "top-sellers". Your help is greatly appreciated! Have a great New Year.
