An interesting book about a boy named William McCracken who goes to work for Alexander Graham Bell on the famous inventor's estate near Baddeck on Cape Breton. The book opens by describing William's trip from Halifax to Baddeck, and then continues by talking mostly about life in the area. It's not until 100 pages or so into the book that the plot about the hydrofoil kicks in. There's a large subplot about William's gambling habits.

Well when you first look at the name of the book you want to say: It is a Mystery DUH! But, I believe you are looking for the fact that it is fiction. Or perhaps you are looking to find out it is a Youth/Young Adult Historical Fiction which happens to be a Mystery. Does this answer your quesiton?
