I have to write a report about the lifestyles of English people before the Norman conquest in 1066. Aspects like customs, religion and political organizations such as towns and stuff are things I need to know about.

Good things outweigh bad things a million times over but we always remember mistakes or the bad things we do or say.
Anyone know why?

I love books like 'The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hossini, 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding... I'm not really genre specific. Any suggestions?

‘Elegy for Brian (A Snail)’

Oh! Dear Brian! You passed away
On this now most grievous day;
You have left us, for your part,
A snail-shaped hole within our hearts
Oh! Brian! We shall miss you so,
We who watched your small life grow.

Oh! How swiftly you did slide!
With such elegance you did glide!
We watched you slither on and on
With such commitment, on and on;
Although you’re gone, we shan’t forget
Your talents, nor the day we met.

Friend, be not by grief undone
For, though our snail was stepped upon
He glides free now, free of fear,
In snail utopia, my dear

Dont tell me because its good to have manners. I dont want to hear all the social expectations of people (dont fart, burp, chew with your mouth closed, etc) I want to know WHY. why do we have magic words (please, thank you, excuse me) that make everything okay? isnt this slightly ridiculous? why cant humans accept each other in their natural state. why are burps, farts, boogers etc. so gross to everyone? we all do it, but judge others for doing it. it just so idiotic. I am anti- manners. whos with me?

Afternoon Storm

Rain drops, a voice
Blue Clouds, a song
Torrent, a chorus
And Thunder, the drums
Matinee Showcase
By the window, it’s warm
Play me another, Afternoon Storm
