Danielle Steel but only because she is alive and V C Andrews died after writing Flowers In The Attic and has been written by ghost writer(s) ever since. Although I think Danielle Steel has either got a writing computer that churns out books every couple of months or she's got a writing partner or two.

I also like Danielle Steel. I agree that some of her books seem to blend together after reading several of her books.
I have really liked Jewels, HRH, No Greater Love to name a few.
I also read VC Andrews but I thought her book series Flowers in the Attic was strange.
There are some Danielle Steel books I haven't read because the subject matter doesn't appeal to me.
It amazes me that Danielle Steel cranks out as many books as she does in a year! How does she keep motivated!?
They are different styles of writers I wouldn't compare them.

You cannot compare those two writers they write different storylines every time My favorite is THE MASTER Stephen King

Frankly, I don't think much of either of them as either writers or storytellers. They both suffer from an extremely limited scope, essentially telling the same story in many variations.
