Love or Hate

It's a feeling I have tried
but can't explain
How can one person bring me so much joy
but leave me with pain?
My heart and my mind
can't seem to agree
Is it love or hate
is the question for me
They have brought me
pain, tears and sorrow
But they'll bring me love
and joy tomorrow
Hate is such a strong word
but love is blind
I try to understand the feelings
that run through my mind
When I see them
my heart skips a beat
I think it's love,
or is it deceit?
I try to piece together the puzzle
of my heart which you have rearragned
But how can I, when day to day
the pieces are changed
Somedays I love you but on others
what I feel for you is hate
Haters or lovers,
what is our fate?
I suppose all I can do is hope
and give it time
I can't even understand the
feelings that are mine
I'll try to answer the question
in time while I wait
For you, do I hate to love, or
love to hate?

Are people assuming that nothing is the default state? That "nothing" requires no explanation, and "something" does? If so, why do they assume that? After all it isn't "nothing" that exists, it's "something."

I am frustrated because I don't understand what this poem means. THE LAST LINE MAKES NO SENSE.

“The Sleep of Adam”-John Hejduk

While Eve waited

Inside of Adam

She was his

Structure

Her volume

Filled him

His skin hung

On Eve’s form

When God

Released her

From Adam

Death rushed in

Preventing collapse

I could not understand what this poem is really trying to say? Please Help

Before we came into existence, we were not even considered for life. We were completely dead. Not even a thought of becoming a live person. Then something happened. I don't mean a man & woman got together and made woopie! There had to be another reason why we came into existence, were we destined to be alive? Were we brought back from the dead?

I recently purchased an original painting and the only signature is Kelly or Killy. Actually at the front of the painting is Killy but when I turned this huge painting on the back was stamped Continental Art with the name Kelly. It also had other stamps which I assume were stamps from different customs. Can anyone please tell me what Continental Art is? Was this for a group of travelling artists students? Was this in Europe?

I am auditioning for Duke Ellington for theater.
You have to prepare a monolouge from a contemporary show.
You have to read the whole show prior to the audition and theyll ask questions about your understanding of the show and such.
I wouldn't mind a comedy or a drama. (preference comedy though)
If you have any play suggestions and perhaps a monolouge within it you like a lot to.
Help?

My college teacher has a pretty severe liberal bias and he makes Regan out to be this bad guy. I wasnt alive while he was president, so i dont know if what hes saying is accurate or what, i always assumed people liked him.

I am doing a collective essay on Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. It is on their logic and argument in philosophy, methods of acquiring knowledge, love, and existence.
I have read the text book twice and still cannot find what I need, so I am asking for links to possibly find what I need on the web. I have done a google search, but I am hoping that you will have links that will have better information than what I have found thus far.
If you have information instead of links, it is welcome as well!!
Thank you in advance!

About Alexandria (Alexander the Great) and the Greek Empire-- Is that statement true or false? I'm pretty sure it's false, but can anybody correct that?
"Jewish people lived in their own section of Alexandria and held their own courts."

I love music and I do not have experience in music as far as work goes. I was told that since I appreciate all kinds of music, I would be good at being a music critic.

The only thing is, I am in my senior year at University of Redlands-School of Business. I have very little training in music and I can't play an instrument (at least, not yet).

I have a few classes in music- fundamentals of music and appreciation of music (Jazz, Classical, Rock etc).

Does a music critic need to have good writing skills or is it more verbal communication skills?

Our high school is doing the play High School Musical. I REALLY want to be a lead role. Our auditions are in about 2 weeks. December 10 through the 14. We learn a dance, a song, and we have to do a little acting too.

I just need some tips on some things to keep up on, suggestions:

1. acting tips
2. singing tips
3. little tricks to help with anything

I really want to be prepared! (i have a little stage fright too so anything to help that would be good too.)

The liberally educated person is one who is able to resist the easy and preferred answers, not because he is obstinate but because he knows others worthy of consideration. What is one important "easy and preferred answer" that we should resist? That is, what dangerous misconceptions do persons commonly hold?
