No. Some babies are born beautiful, others come out already crippled by deformities. Some are born amidst gunfire while others are in hushed and genteel surrounding. I was born a 9-pounder while my younger brother came out small with skin hanging loose around him. But this doesn't mean those born "lucky" will grow up happy. For all we know, the child born of strife may someday become a fulfilled man of wealth, while she who was born with a silver spoon may end up with a bullet into her mouth later on in life. So I guess, all things considered means all human beings have at birth an equal shot at happiness and success later on in life.

As a friend of mine always said, we are all equal twice in our lives: At the time of our birth and at the time of our death. Everything else in-between is not equal!!!

Obviously we're not all identical. We look different. We have different abilities, different strengths and weaknesses. But we're all equal. To a religious person, that means that God loves and cares for all of us equally. To a secular person, it means that we're all entitled to the same rights as members of society.
