I have a goal , how would I find out if that's my real goal or not?

I feel like there is something I neeed to do in my life. I went through depression and anxiety all my life i am 25 now.

I am getting over depression now, that's why i ask this question because --I AM NOT SURE , if my Goal or Aim to be somebody in this world came To beat depresiion. because as you know most depressed people doesn't really have a goal .

and this is bothering me since , i am a person who likes to be sure of everything he does. .

i want to find out if that's my " real passion" or "something i made up so I could forget my depressed and painful life once and for all".

I am doing a paper for school and I would like to know what it was like for anyone out there who may have grown up in the 50's. Do you remember the Civil rights, or womens' movement? What was your particular situation? What are some of the things you remember, that compared to today, are extremely different?

the blizzard whips the bare earth,
the sun is long gone
awaiting rebirth

Miles away the bird sings
longing for light
It is a cold night tonight

First of all I'm writing a story that takes place in Ireland. The problem is, I have never been to Ireland before. I am from the US, but I have Irish heritage, and I am very interested in IE. I have done LOTS of research on Irish slang and terminology, and have incorporated it carefully into my writing. But, the question is, do I really have a right to write something that involves real irish characters if I have never actually been to that country? I guess if the answer is no...I should start planning a trip! Any ideas or suggestions would help, and please no insults.... :P

I have been reading quite a few books recently with complicated story lines that involve generations of characters and their relationships. How do you come up with all those names? How do you keep track of the familial ties and the relationships?

I think the matches they make are hilarious. For instance, someone just asked about enhancing an image of someone wearing a t-shirt "just a bit" so you could see, "you know... a little nipple." The links on the right were to places that do silk screening for t-shirts.

I am wondering what they will pick out of this question as a suitable match. Let me think of some words.

Saddle. Tires. Cell phone. Lifesavers. Enhancement.

Let's see what they come up with.

Any more suggestions?

This is a revised version of
"ode to real life"

ode to a deadbeat dad

I shouldn't have to stoop to your level
My life was perfect until you reared your ugly head

I scream for salvation only I hear nothing
every time you whine you get your way

I do my best to work against the devil
Raising a child and wondering why

Why did it had to be this way?

I continue to try and make a living
while you hide and stay far away

You have all the attention while I sit along the lines
You get the answers while I still have the questions

One being why you continue to hide

I never thought that I would have to be
so hypocritical and so very mean
but life has showed me this

I was the civil one until you came along
You make me wish I never did bare you a son
My world was fine until you took charge

Why the hell do you have to make life so hard?

I pray for forgiveness every time
I feel I do or say something wrong

But now it's time I open up!
I hope you're listening to my words!

I pray for my son's future hoping that you
won't try to make him listen to your garbage

I hope that they find you and you get what's coming your way

If only you were different and didn't have your doubts
I would have been married and we would have had a life

but things just did not work that way
you took what trust I had

you took me to your family and although I feel its sad
they stuck up for you no matter what while I had to struggle to this day

sometimes I feel like you're the one who really ruined my life
but when looking back in hindsight I see that this is not true

for as it is said it takes two to tango
when I see your face I want to tell you

Screw you and all your pride
which you so shamefully show
making us feel like outcasts

is this your idea of a perfect world?

For every beginning there is an end
so here's to you and all your kind
may god have mercy on you
when it becomes your time
