I agree with the first poster, the Road by Cormac McCarthy is a very good book.

A few others are:
-A Natural History of the Senses
-The Morgesons (I really recommend this one)
-Open House (not really that life changing but still a good read)
-The Double Bind

Nope, books don't change my life, they entertain me, interest me, fascinate me.
Try The Royal Road to Romance by Richard Halliburton. I got to read that one at the dinner table! It's romance in the sense of adventure so don't wrinkle your nose at the title. Or you could try Guns, Germs & Steel by Jared Diamond. I've heard it's interesting and thought provoking.

I don't expect a book to change my life, just my entertainment level. Try this website - it might work for you.
