Some do of course, but it is not a requirement. Some become wise & learn discernment.

A loss of emotion isn't a natural consequence of aging. I think people who are reflective about things tend to have more balance in their emotional reactions as they get older. They become more realistic, not necessarily cynical.

I don't think so, no. Personally, I've traded emotions, rather than lost them. Wonderment for depression. Innocence for far too much understanding. Hope for Acceptence of fate.
Have I become more cynical? Very much so, yes.

No, people are just deceived by outside factors beyond our feelings and thoughts. We're not really losing them. Actually, I've been into thinking that as we grow older, emotions became more complex and as we look back on the past, you can see the difference, if not, the intensity of each that's why I think that emotions are just deceiving us.

I don't think we lose emotions. I think we learn to identify different types of emotions.

I don't think we go emotionless, its just that we known this world so much that we are not amused or surprised once it happens again, like when someone tells me that they had a car accident and they are alive, Im like: "Oh okay, at least they are okay."
I don't get all dramatic about it anymore.

We mature as we grow so how we show and use our emotions reflect how much maturity we have.
