HAUNTED
A trap door in the labyrinth of my mind
Opens up to let the ghosts inside.
All I ever learned and rethought
Is simmering there in a great black pot,
And it's boiling over, hot as hell;
Guess it's time to cast the spell,
Removing myself from this reality
That constantly lashes out at me.
It seems I'm always down below-
When you look at me, do you get vertigo?
Because you're up there so high and proud;
Hope you can see through the clouds
Of suspicion and discontent
That loom over me so imminent,
Like the doom that you put me into...
Wish I were a bit more like you,
But I'm not, and I just can't get past
The way the hands of fate are cast.
I'm bluer than blue here in the black,
Not looking forward but I can't jump back
To how things were before I met you;
I can't blame anyone but me, 'cause I let you
Grow so much stronger at the cost of my pride.
Now I lock the door with the ghosts inside.

here are the words

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack.
You taught me all I know and I never look back.
It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack.

You took a current ribbon from out of the sky,
and taught me how to use it as the years went by.
To tie up all your problems and make them believe.
And then to sell them to the people in the street.

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack.
You taught me all I know and I never look back.
It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack.

I saw right thru the way you started teaching me now.
So someday soon you could get to use me somehow.
I thank you very much you know you've been very kind.
But, I'd better move along before you change my mind

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack
No hard feelings if I never come back
It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack

You taught me all the things the way you'd like 'em to be.
But I'd like to see if better people agree.
It's all very interesting the way you disguise.
But I'd like to see the world thru my own eyes.

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack.
No hard feelings if I never come back
You're a very strange man and I thank you, Master Jack.
You're a very strange man and I thank you, Master Jack.
You're a very strange man, aren't you, Master Jack

Too late for rhymes

a weary voice across the line
vaults like shattering glass
flying off and piercing fast
right across a gutless spine

a crumpled piece of dirty sheet
crammed full of striked out lines
in the basket landing on its feet
where there's no need for rhymes

a bitterpill fearlessly swallowed
a wry smile from a pith now hallowed
tired eyes closed yet drawn to weep
though the sweetest wail be whispered in sleep...

Or did they?
They had sleighs, but wouldn't the horses have sunk into the snow? I've seen antique wooden shovels, which must've been heavy, but I can't imagine how they cleared about the roads.

I understand that most acting veterans recommend that new actors should not try to cry on cue and instead should pretend to be holding back tears, and that it is much more effective. What are your opinons on this and do you think if a young actor has the talent of being able to cry on cue, should they use it?

I have always been amazed at how Stephen King could write at such a prolific rate and be so good. I see it today in James Patterson but his novels are just so-so. King has slowed down but his works continue. What one of his works has impacted you and why?

We have to do a 700+ essay for Jane Eyre and right now I only have a thesis. ---

Jane Eyre is an example of the changing role of women in Victorian literature by serving as a model of the difficulties which a woman had to overcome to achieve any sense of independence as a woman.

Can anyone help me with finding a couple of examples and ideas I could use to support it! Thanks in advance.
