My dad has an old painting given to his mother by a friend around the 30's. I think the name is 'Pears', (I can't really understand the last letter but the name is in good condition), and the picture is in a custom frame so I don't want to take it apart to see if anything is underneath. It's a picture of two women, one sittinng, one standing, selling a chicken. If anyone has heard of this artist or if this sounds familiar please let me know. If it would help I can post a picture of it, so let me know.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

have a college paper due, and my mind is already fried from my other assignments. If someone knowledgeable in this field could help me, that would be much appreciated.

Maybe a summary or explanation of this work in simple terms, or links to websites that could help me out with. His stance on objective and subjective perpectives. Which is the truer perspective? Or could objective be compatible with objetive? Thanks again.

I just read one called 19 minutes by Jodi Picoult. It is awesome and I think that the teenagers on this site would love it too. It is about bullies in a high school setting that caused another teenager to do the unthinkable. What books have you read?

waking up at 6 a.m.
is always such a drag,
you rub those heavy eyes of yours,
"it's another day...", you say.

another day awoken,
by the dreadful buzzing sound,
it's sound so annoying,
it just drives you insane.

you prepare all your stuffs,
before you go to school,
rushing so you wouldn't be late,
and wouldn't get detention.

your endless complains are heard,
all throughout the day,
"why this?!", "why that?!",
"I can't take it anymore!".

just when you were about to break,
you crashed into them,
a smile appeared on your face,
for you questions have been answered.

"now I know..." you happily say,
as you helped them up,
you survived all these years,
because you have your friends.

every problem you meet,
your friends are always there,
now you finally learn that,
at the end of the day...

...all you've done,
all you've been through...

...it's all worth it.

Do you think that the purges and gulag system of the Stalin era of the old Soviet Union were a result of Stalin being a complete psychopath, or was it just paranoia?

I have recently received a wonderful print of a painting from Bob Byerley as a birthday present. He is considered the modern day Norman Rockwell. I just love his paintings.

I wanted to know how or what kind of lighting can I buy to put over it to help with the soft highlights of showing it off? I bought a slim light to put above it, but it shows off the reflection of the light bulbs in the lighting. I really do not have the money to hire an electrician to try to put them on the cathedral ceiling to shine down. What is the best and cheapest way to highlight my print painting that is framed in glass without having the lightbulb relflected in the glass?

Thank you for your kind answers.
