It did not differ much from other type of bombings. The one major difference is that a single bomb anihilated a city- as compared to thousands of bombs anihilating a city.
I don't think it made any difference to the dead, and very little difference to the wounded
However for the emotionally minded it was a significant difference
It also allowed the Japanese propagandists to portray themselves as "victims" of WW2- a claim which would be ridiculous except for the emotional impact of the nuclear bombs

Those who died in the initial blast and resulting pressure wave did not suffer for sure. Those who survived suffered through radiation poisoning and burns. Also from fires, demolished buildings, malnutrition, sickness. etc etc. Other than the radiation, all are symptoms of war victims.
In comparison to WW2 casualties, only a small fraction of "suffering" was actually caused by the Hiroshima bombing. More people suffered and died through Japanese war mongering and the atrocities that followed. China alone suffered more than 20million dead as a result Japanese invasion and occupation.

Its very simple the bomb used had a urainum core and urainum is a radioactive material so when the bomb explored all of the urainum multiply at hyper speed(seriously it was less then a second) this is einstien throem e=mc squared (energy = mass x speed of light squard) and this chain reaction of deadly particals cause untold and vile things that the face of the earth had never seen THE ATOMIC AGE
