It's my first story. Is there any point submitting to print magazines or should I just try to get it published in an online magazine right away? How much can I expect to be paid for a 5000 word short story?

i really want to be on disney channel. i know it's a long-shot, but i am not letting my dream die, no matter what anyone says. my question is, are there any celebs who landed decent acting jobs without any prior experience? thanks for any response! :)

"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set. then there'd be peace."
i think that that is thrue....if everyone wanted peace we would have it but obviously thats far from the case.
i find it so baffaling that in the year 2007 we call ourselves civilized human beings and the only way we can solve major issues is to kill people. yes war is neccesary because it is all we know but that doesnt make it right. yes im a liberal and yes im what you would call a hippie, im also a 16 year old girl so feel free to judge me but know matter what political party you support, war=death and i think we need to find a way to change our ways of problem solving. if we can go to the moon we can sure as hell find peace on earth. anyone agree?

Excuse me but take a look around, cave man. The electricity that powers every single device in your life. The refrigerator that keeps your food fresh. The genetic tests to ensure you it is the best food. The car you drive. The computer you are typing on. The freaking man who walked…. ON THE MOON!!! Now, sure, science does make mistakes but isn’t a little ignorant to belittle science? You do know that if it weren’t for science you’d be living in a cave right now bashing your dinner with a club right?

The phrase "life isn't fair" as far as I'm concerned is the biggest cop-out ever uttered by a human being. It's resignation to injustice and inequity. It's surrender to evil and maliciousness. I have a big problem with this sentiment.

The phrase is true. Life sucks. I'm not gonna whitewash it and pollyanna everything. It frankly SUCKS. And I'm not talking about just me, it's for everyone. If I'm given better opportunity and chance in life than someone else, that is wrong. Why be born into a world where you always lose? What's the point of life if you can never truly attain what's good in life? No one has a satisfactory answer for this.

Because it's wrong that one has a better opportunity in life than another based on The Creator's rigged scale of attributes, I always want to help make things better for others who didn't get a proper chance.
Life may not be fair but I'll be d@mned if I follow that. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

"Life isn't fair" Cop-out or not?

So someone answered a question that : professional photographers wont exist in ten years because everyone will be able to "take" professional photos.

This answerer proberly believes it

What do you think??

I think this person is clueless, how will digital cameras set up lights? Will sport illistrated be full of soft out of focus, poorly lit images taken on a point and shot? Will playboy be shot by our next door neighbours.

Are we heading towards crap images being called professional?

Do you think the answerer is clueless also??

I saw Legally Blonde the Musical on MTV but I really liked it so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a copy of it on DVD or something without going to the actual show. I went on the website for the show but I didn't see anything.

I commute 4 hours a day and have really gotten into books on CD. I'm wondering what other authors are similar to Robb/Roberts. There are so many CD's to choose from at the library.

Thanks for your help!
