Mmmm, maybe. We know that the universe is really really big, but there is no way of really comprehending just how huge it is. Sure we can write down some numbers with a big load of zeros at the end but is that really understanding?
On the other hand, a very powerful and intelligent God, if such a being exists, would probably be able to use all sorts of means and methods to give us some semblance of understanding of what he/she/it is like.
As that bloke in 2001 said: "My god it's full of stars" followed by half an hour of psychedlic special effects.

What is the word for something which cannot ever be sensed by any means, never detected by any instrument, produces no detectable effect of any kind, and which never will?
The answer is NON-EXISTANT.
Anyone who holds the philosophy you state about their god is overtly believing in nothing. And strange as it is, it's not really uncommon.
Don't get me wrong, though. There may be any number of transcendant and personal connections with the divine that cannot be held out to other people as proof. What you experience is what you experience. Likewise, there are more or less inclusive ideas about what a god is and what it must do. I believe there is room for many gods about, myself, and am sure that many people have prefectly valid reasons for their belief.
The above, however, is NOT one of them.

I'm an Agnostic who believes in God, though I realize God's existance can't be proven or disproven. So we can never know about God, for sure. Also, we can't really know what God is like , for sure. However, we can believe anything we want to about anything including God. I just wonder about one thing .... If God capable of all things? If not, then is God limited, and therefore not God at all? Very circular thinking here!

There is an infinite, qualitative difference between a human nature and the divine nature, as such, God is, in terms of his essential nature unknowable. We can only know of God by analogy, which illumines difference more than similarity, or through revelation, which is more of an appreciation for God's essential mystery, than it is an answer to human inquiry into God's essential nature.

The Bible provides many insights as to what God is like. We know that we are created in his image also that he is jealous and angry but also loving and gracious. There are many different types of Bibles out there. Try going to a Christian book store and you can find the Bible that's just right for you. Reading the Bible will provide you with a personal image of God in which you can relate to spiritually.

I'm not religious, but...
I think it's meant to mean that until you meet him, there's no knowing God. You can interpret the Bible as best you can, but there's no definite answer.
