Well I think that too and thats because they were weak in guns I trully agree with you

Guns do play an important part if there was a vastly extreme difference but during that time it's more about the soldiers, the belief in their cause and their commanders. By the end of the war the Union army had amassed an army of close to a million men throughout the war.

No. It was only a matter of time. Better guns would have helped, but they just didn't have the number of soldiers needed. The North was able to put on a stranglehold that better guns couldn't overcome. Gen. Lee, you know better than anyone that Grant was able to throw massive numbers of soldiers at you that couldn't be countered.

no, i think the Confederacy was a much better army even if they didn't have better guns. The Confederacy just made poor mental errors that hurt them in the long run. Otherwise, the Confederacy won the war.

carbines or repeating rifles instead of muskets, smooth bore breach loaders instead of old style napoleonic cannons?....hmmm, but then where would they get the ammunition since they were resource poor and their arms industry was small time compared to the north?
