"Paper Towns" by John Green. I just finished this book yesterday. It's absolutely wonderful. The perfect mixture of laughter, angst, and heartbreak. Green is an amazing author who has an ability to make you feel exactally what he wants you too, which I haven't seen in any other author. "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. A darker, but also more sarcastic counterpart to the other book I reccomended. Deals with a lot of serious issues. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. Even though I normally don't cry in books, I couldn't help the tears in this one. "Harry Potter" by JK Rowling. Read all the books. Now.

An interesting twist on this theme can be found in the play "The Fantastics". As the story progresses, we discover that the two fathers have "forbidden" their kids from seeing each other precisely because they WANT them to marry each other!
