Every wonder if every decision you make effects what will happen in the future. For instance if you decide to be the nice person who drives your friend home a party and you end up getting in an accident and your friend dies.... What if you wouldn't have been the one who offered, would there be the same outcome...

Is everything suppose to happen for a reason? Are certain things planned to happen and the rest in between is just filling up time? Are our lives already mapped out, step by step, decision by decision? Why do we have deja vu? Or is everything purely by chance?

Just venting, having one of those confused/intrigued moments by this type of thing...

I've been asked to do some promo artwork for a company. The artwork will be pictures with single characters and multiple characters respectively. A single character picture takes around 15 hours to complete. Some people have told me to charge by the hour, but I think it would be more fair to charge a flat rate based on how many characters are in the picture (I don't do backgrounds). Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm very bad at this, i read the book for a school project, but then again for myself. i seen the movie and i can figure out things about that, but in this novel i read [by michael crichton] i am not very good at finding things that differ from the movie in a big way.

Can someone tel lme what the theme of the BOOK would be?
i think its just..the park itself i'm not sure what theme is all about.

And theres a question i have to answer about Characters, and i wanted to do one of them about Ellie, but i can't think of anything about her, she doe'snt have a big role in the book as she did in the movie.

Anybody know those anwsers?

If something is not going your way, is it a sign from the universe to stop doing whatever you're doing... or is it a challenge to learn to overcome your obstacles? I can never differ these two. There have been times when I gave up, due to obstacles and later regretted. Sometimes I tried hard to get/do something, it ended up being something bad for me? How to tell the different when to surrender and when to continue trying.

The one where they all live in another planet (I forgot which one, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the inner ones) and it always rains, except once every seven years, and they lock the girl in the closet and forget to let her out until the Sun has already gone away?
I read last year for ELA and loved it, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called. Please help!

This is a heartfelt [philosophical] question, with NO insidious intent behind it. ... I am NOT trying to argue against anyone's faith (or lack thereof, as maybe the case), NOR am I referring to any "specific" faith/religion here. ... Serious answers only please - feel free to elaborate/present your argument, but kindly refrain from the standard “cut and paste”/quotation type answers. … I am interested to know about YOUR thoughts on the subject, and NOT something that I can readily find/read in a book. … Thank you for your comments and have a wonderful weekend.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road your trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and its turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victors cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when your hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit!

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose your feelings is to risk rejection.
To place your dreams before the crowd is to risk ridicule.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds
is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken,
because the greatest risk of all is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, he cannot feel,
he cannot change, he cannot grow and he cannot love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave.
Only the person who risks is truly FREE!

Im in school and I'm learning how to do speech's and such and put a lot of comedy into it by writing a lot of jokes to slip in during the speech. I was curious what most comedians/speakers do to prepare for their bits. Is it best to memorize word for word and just practice telling it like its your first time? Or is it better to remember the jokes and try to 'ad lib' the rest? Its hard to memorize it but not think about it too much to get you tripped up if you miss a word or a line. Just looking for suggestions
