I'm very bad at this, i read the book for a school project, but then again for myself. i seen the movie and i can figure out things about that, but in this novel i read [by michael crichton] i am not very good at finding things that differ from the movie in a big way.

Can someone tel lme what the theme of the BOOK would be?
i think its just..the park itself i'm not sure what theme is all about.

And theres a question i have to answer about Characters, and i wanted to do one of them about Ellie, but i can't think of anything about her, she doe'snt have a big role in the book as she did in the movie.

The theme of the book is that just because Man is capable of doing something, does that mean they should? It is a world of Technology and science that goes wild.

Sorry, I would have to reread the book to help with Ellie. She is kind of back at the ranch--so to speak, really, not often in harms way. In the book she is engaged to Dr. Grant.

It teaches them about the different names of Dinosaurs, and it is also an action packed book, so I see no reason why they wouldn't be able to read it. It could be a fun, educational way to help with reading skills, they might look up the names of the species, or the scientific terms used in the book, it could be a fun way to learn vocabulary! I don't see harm in that at all!

The theme is basically 'just because you can, doesn't mean you should.' That's why the mathematician talks about chaos theory so much. It's a repeating subject throughout book and movie.
