It was on the hill, Stoney Ridge, and you could see it when you came down Bland Street, to the intersection at Bluefield Avenue. The billboard was for Cole's Sunbeam Bread. The clock was a big white face on the left hand side of the billboard, looking at it from Bland Street. If you have one, please e-mail me a copy of it. I have been looking for that picture for over a year and cannot find one anywhere. I have some copies of old photos I would be willing to share in return.

I'm talking about René Descartes. Do you say it as if it were a French word?

So, phonetically is it - des-car-tay or des-car-tes

?

i understand the information gained from links to the encyclopedia, but shouldnt they just be only in the 'sources' box? since the people can just look it up as the questionaire can do the same. i think this site should be a place where you can get the opinion of people under their own thinking. you would be suprised of what people can observe without knowing.

Need hints to take beautiful pictures of jewellery items such as rings, bracelets, earrings, etc... I have a Fujifilm S5500 digital camera with 4MP and 10x optical zoom. I also have a tripod. I've tried my own way to take jewellery photos but the problem i have is the shadows behind the items. I can retouch the photos in photoshop but i wanna get a perfect result with camera first. Do I need EzCube or something similar? Please suggest.

I am an introvert. I feel terrible when we get together in a gathering and are encouraged to hug each other. Well, I am not fond of hugging anyone, especially strangers! My hesitation may seem unfriendly, as I stick out my hand to shake! What can I do to cope with being an introvert in an extravert society?

I realize I don't want to force myself to be anything for anyone or society, as long as that trait does no harm. It surely does me no harm.

The question is, I don't want to appear unfriendly yet I CAN'T be something I'm not!

I'll wait

walking through,
the depths of darkness,
all alone,
empty inside.

i continue to walk,
reminiscing-
remembering the times,
we had together.

droplets of clear, salty water,
rushed down my face,
as a picture of you,
flashed through my mind.

you're long gone,
i know that,
i understand that,
but my heart still refuses.

My mind is saying:
"Move on."
But my heart says:
"I'll wait."

going deeper into darkness,
i couldn't bear it.
I need you,
I miss you.

impossible-i know,
i hate that thought.
i'll do anything.
cut myself?-i'll do it for you.

crimson red blood,
flowed out from my wrist,
i need to be with you.
i'm sorry, i love you.

as i close my eyes,
to sleep an eternal sleep,
a bright light from above,
refused to let me go.

i woke up from my slumber,
gazed at the shining stars,
I'll wait for you,
I promise I'll do.

They are merely creations of the human mind, concepts forced upon society and of course society, being composed of mindless conformists, accepts them as law.

Agree / Disagree?
