Maybe you're the one who created all this and dreamed it all up in your own mind and now you're a prisoner to your own creation.

You are on the right track when you ask the question why are we here.
You need a passion in life. It seems you haven't found yours, or its gotten so obscured due to the stresses in your life and what you may be doing to yourself.
No one can tell you what your purpose is. If you try to follow what someone else tells you and it's not right for you, of course you wll feel the way you do.
Remember that you are not the only one to go through this sort of questioning. Even Mother Teresa had a "dark night of the soul."
I hope you have people in your life who will help you through this. If not, think about how to make new connections, perhaps by joining organizations with interests similar to yours.

it depend on the life of your situation, if your life is so poor ,
you don't even have a time to boring..
But you life is so complete you don't even need to do anything ,
and then you will see the world in reverse
In fact if you think clearly about the world , you will find out, your life is boring like you said...at the end you will left everything what you possess....But life is what old people taught never give up untill you die...
You are not crazy,,, sometime i also think like that...so
i suggest you
don't look at the future just look at the present

There is a fine line between boredom and depression in Eastern philosophy. As an intelligent species, we can learn to tolerate boredom, accept it and even enjoy it.
Every large city has a homeless population of people who have been "happy" using to avoid what they consider the boredom of life.
People who hate boredom find themselves in all sorts of chaos in life. After all, anything would be better than boredom.
You're here for the same reason that I am -- our parents had sex.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever. All life is an accident and human beings as well. We are designed to be in packs of 500 or so, large primate groups, and eat, sleep, crap, and attempt to procreate. That's it. All the rest is cultural window dressing.

hey.. it all depends on your attitude, dude..
life is not just about clubs, parties, ******* and going out... it's about being happy.. happiness is something that's attained only if you're satisfied with what you're doing.. if you're not happy, then it means you're not satisfied with what you're doing..
take some time off to think about what you like to do.. about things that'll make you happy.. once you find that out, life will be different..
if you ask me bout life, i'll say, "Life rocks, man!"

II don't think you want to hear this, but I will give it a shot anyway. First, you should seek medical attention and therapy. You don't necessarily have to live like this. But drugs and therapy only get at the surface of the issues. You asked this question in the philosophy section, so I'm going to give you a philosophical answer. Perhaps you are crazy, but even if you are, you are nevertheless tuning in to something profoundly real, and you are certainly not alone. You are, so to speak, connecting to the source of all energy, but you are not prepared, and thus you are getting burned. Boredom is a form of fear, and fear is one of the fundamental reactions of Being in the face of life (aka, potentiality) and death (the ceasing of all potential). You are going to hate what I'm about to say, but please read it anyway.
I certainly don't have the ultimate answer you seek, but I am going to suggest that the question itself is a key to the "ultimate meaning" of Existence. Notice I say "meaning" rather than "purpose". I'm very skeptical about any "ultimate purpose" but I do think there is ultimate meaning. The idea of purpose implies a goal, and I just don't think that Existence has any determinate goal. There is no specific place or state of being that would count as the purpose for which Existence exists. Meaning, on the other hand, implies "a sense of purposefulness" and perhaps a "reason for being." There does not have to be a specified destination in order for a journey to be meaningful, because meaning can be grounded in purely subjective values. Meaning does not require any sort of ultimate reality or absolute truth; there is no ultimate, absolute standard by which the value of a journey can be judged; the value of a journey can only be found in the LIVED EXPERIENCES of the journey, and the meaning of the journey grows out of these values. Existence, to put it simply, is the potential for experience, and meaning is the way these experiences are organized.
So what are the ultimate roots of Value for Existence? I propose that the MYSTERY of Being is the ultimate grounds of all value for Existence Itself, as well as the ultimate ground of all potential for experience. The very nature of mystery implies FEELINGS and VALUES. We can be "drawn in" to a mystery (perhaps relishing a delightful sense of wonder and curiosity centered on the mystery), or we can be frightened by the mystery (perhaps fleeing from it, or shutting down our emotions to the point that we feel bored by it, or just freezing in a dumbfounded "deer in headlights" gaze). Whatever our reaction might be, the bottom line is that The Mystery provokes a reaction of some sort, and this reaction constitutes "the journey of the moment".
For Existence Itself, the mystery of Being is necessarily accompanied by the logical possibility of NOT-Being. Being and Not-Being are logically related, such that one cannot comprehend one without also, in some way, comprehending the other. Understanding this, and facing up to it, is what Martin Heidegger calls "being-toward-death", and this condition of being-toward-death is inevitable for Existence Itself.
My claim is that the Mystery of Being stands at the very core of Existence Itself, and is the ultimate ground out of which ALL meaning and value spring. The ultimate cosmic energy source that drives Existence Itself is the reaction of Existence Itself to the Mystery of Being. In ordinary human terms, this comes out as the philosophical question (typically tinged with a poetic sense of sheer, slack-jawed wonder, or as in your case, a sense of desperate pleading ) – "Why are we here?" or "Why is there something rather than nothing?" or "What is the meaning of it all?" Each time we contemplate this question, we are tapping into the ultimate core of Being Itself – we are connecting in our own way with the ultimate shared identity of all life, and indeed, for all Existence. Notice I am not saying that dogs and flowers and rocks all sit around wondering about the meaning of it all, but I am saying that "the meaning of it all" is equally shared by all dogs and flowers and rocks and, of course, people.
The situation, you see, comes down to this: The Great Mystery is not a spatio-temporal thing. It is the source of all time, space, and energy, but it does not exist in time or space. All beings depend on the Mystery, whether they conscious comprehend it or not. Every being is an expression of The Mystery; consciousness is a peculiar self-referential form of this expression. Consciousness will never fully answer the question because consciousness is a FORM OF the Question Itself, and "the answer" has nothing whatsoever to do with any particular destination or purpose. The "answer" is just the Journey Itself, fueled by the Mystery behind the Question. You are plagued by boredom because Existence Itself fears the Mystery, and your life is an expression of Existence Itself being caught in the grip of this fear. Now of course is doesn't FEEL like fear to you – for you it feels like simple boredom – but I'm suggesting that your boredom is a mask that you wear in order to disguise yourself from yourself – or to be more precise, your boredom is a mask that Existence Itself wears in order to hide from the Mystery of Its own Being (which always comes with the Possibility of Not-Being).
We are what we are because of the Mystery; apart from the Mystery there is nothing. Literally, no-thing. At some level you are realizing this, and the truth is burning you and blinding you – like the sun shinning outside of Plato's cave. Some part of you has stumbled out of the cave, but your brain is still in the cave, so you're hurting and you don't know why.
