(Often called Germania)?

Oscar Himpflewitz- I have been searching for books about it, and I know there are loads of them, I was simply asking your opinion on a good one. Mainly because I dont have enough time to read through loads of them as it's for a history project

Hey Oscar, don't be so pompous. Many times I have asked about reading subjects on Yahoo Answers and have got good responses as well as feedback on the content as well. In fact, I believe that it's a better method than Google for finding books because you get a variety of opinions without having to navigate all over trying to find reviews. Obviously no one would know what someone else considers to be good or if one can rely on someone else's advice but that does not stop them from giving it. Bleh! is just asking for suggestions, so quit being a jerk. Sorry I can't help you Bleh!, I've only read two books on Nazi Germany and neither one of them mentions Germania.

~I just spent less than 2 minutes with google and found several. You might also look into articles on the subject as well as on Albert Speer for information if you don't find a book you like. The subject matter is really not worthy of a full length book and shorter articles may be more up your alley since you evidently couldn't be bothered to spend the two minutes that I just did.

Edit:

Since I don't know what you would consider to be good, and you don't know what I would consider good (are we talking technical, archaeological, conceptual, stylistic, etc.?) how can I answer or how can you rely on my advice. If you simply want one that explains the idea and includes sketches, most any should do the trick. So would most any article on Albert Speer and/or Adolph Hitler which is germane to the topic. Were I you, I'd just grab the first one I came across in the library and run with it, but the translation of Alexander Kropp's work of 2005 ( "Die Politische Bedeutung Der NS-Reprasentationsarchitektur : Die Neugestaltungsplane Albert Speers Fur Den Umbau Berlins Zur Welthauptstadt Germania 1936-1942/43") is less than 200 pages and is fairly complete. I liked the original German better than the translation, and I think there is a serious translation error in chapter 4, but it is still a very good resource.

There's a pretty fascinating profile of a young Adolph Hitler, that was published in 1922, as he was just beginning to make his mark on German politics. In it, he offers his opinions on the state of the German republic, and its future.
