Does it make you mad?

I mean if I were to post a question that was just a thinly diguised link to my author page on Napster for Nerds
( http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/cf_dev/AbsByAuth.cfm?per_id=860327 )

to try and get you to download the paper I've posted there so I can "game" the download charts, would that be going too far?

America for saving the Vatican from Hitler. Was Pius xii the real power and mastermind behind the Holocaust and Hitler was only the "in place" fall-guy if something went wrong. Did the pope walk away scot-free above all suspicion?

So I have always been really shy but have had a secret desire to perform. Today I bit the bullet and signed up to a 10 week acting class. Now I'm a little scared as I don't know what to expect. I just turned 18 so I was too old for the youth drama and had to settle for adult. I'm scared that I will be the worst in the class and everyone will be older and more confident. Has anyone here gone to acting classes before. What was the atmosphere like. Did you feel at ease. I'm starting to regret signing up but I also know that if I back out know I'll never do it.

Our interest in this satrted with pre-empting the boredom that could set in with studying only dry facts about the 50 states of the US. How? By adding the Pan American Hwy to it:
According to The Guinness Book of World Records, the Pan-American Highway is the world's longest "motorable road." Jake Silverstein, writing in 2006, described the Pan-American Highway as "a system so vast, so incomplete, and so incomprehensible it is not so much a road as it is the idea of Pan-Americanism itself…" (Silverstein, p. 71) - from Wikiperia article. From the point of Alaska connecting to Siberia we ventured into numerous suggestions over the years for railroad bridges and tunnels...main goal to overcome or prevent potential boredom from study of war, war, and more war.

When is *meaning* created?

Is there meaning in an act the moment it is performed? Or is the meaning determined later?

While sitting on a plain flying from back to LA from Texas on Labor Day?

I used to write poetry, some of which has been published, but that was years ago. And it tended to deal with complex images and word usage, wiith current events and irony, injustice and moral issues. This silly little poem is simplistic by those standards and hardly profound. But I thought some of you might enjoy it.

Roadmap To The Soul

A thousand miles
from the ones I love;
two thousand miles
from one who loves me ----

Too late we learn
that distance measured
by steps is not
nearly as far
as the distance
measured by our heart.

(It's okay to pick on this little poem if you want. I'm out of practise writing poetry anyway and am slowly becomming a romantic old cogger.)

Warning: Answers to this question will OBVIOUSLY have spoilers for the story, BEWARE!!!

I really loved it when I read it the first time but I've now kind of grown out of it. When someone tells me that they love Da Vinci Code, it just annoys the hell out of me <_<.

But that isn't quite a logical reason to fend off the lovers of that book? What reasons do I give them for not liking it?

Oh, and for those of you who love it, well everyone's entitled to their opinion and this question isn't asking for YOUR opinion.

I have to write a short story and am suffering from serious writers block, i can't think of a decent plot and i've already dumped about 3 ideas. Does anyone have any good plots?

And by the way, i'm only 16 so life experience stories really don't help me, i've never done anythigng interesting with my life so i need something fictional!
