I've used chapstick for 25 years on my corks. Much cheaper and easier to buy.

What cork grease is made of depends on which company you get it from. Some are a petroleum distillate (thick Vaseline), some are a wax, and some are natural (shea butter).

Replacing a clarinet tenon cork is about $12 at most shops. ☺

I'm not sure. But be careful with what you use, you don't want to ruin the cork! I heard that replacing a clarinet cork is expensive. If you're not sure, just go and buy some cork grease. It's not that expensive, and that's the safest thing to do.

It depends whether you are male or female. Hahaha, just kidding. Cork grease is just wax. Try some Chapstick.
