It is The Battle of Hastings, (written by Marriott Edgar in 1937), one of Stanley Holloways famous monlogues. I have a copy of them by Michael Marshall and illustrated by Bill Tidy. It is published by Elm Tree Books and its ISBN number is 0241103061 it is the reference number on the back of the book

Hope this is of some use to you. One of my favourites is the one about Albert and the lion.

I don't know who wrote it, but I associate it with the late Stanley Holloway.
Check him out.
