I do not understand people that say "I know from my heart" that such and such is right or wrong. The heart is an organ that pumps the blood through your body. Though it is a vital organ, it contains no thought processing ability. Are they suggesting that they know by instinct? But if that is true, what is instinct without the knowledge to back it up? If the brain is the center of a nervous system, within which all thoughts are created and dispensed, why do people say that it comes from the heart?

I came back from work at about 1PM to pick up something from our house and I had to go back to work at 2PM. During this time there came 2 little cute dogs and they walked into our back garden. I observed them but thought, why not, our guinea pigs are safe in their enclosure. When the whole family came back at 8PM my husband wanted to feed the animals and found 15 of them killed and only 2 of them survived. They jumped over the fence.
They were not hungry, they just were up for a kill. Why is it that dogs do that? Are all dogs like that? In nature most likely animals kill if they are hungry and not just for fun.
Can you look at such a happening from a philosophical point of view?

If I have understood correctly, this is a system where you register a book on the internet (that you don't want any more) and then you abandon it somewhere and someone else finds it and registers the find on the same website. Is this right?

I was just wondering is the hand clock or flip clock older? Was it the hand clock and the flip clock was like going more towards digital? By flip clocks I mean the ones where it'll be say 8:00 and the 0 top half will flip and become a 1.

What I mean is, what kind of jobs are available for somebody who wants to make a career out of the theatre (besides the acting, of course)...how much do the actors get paid?
