Spain's prince is called "Principe de Asturias" because it was the one place besides Galicia that was not conquered by the Moors but why is the prince of England titled "Prince of Wales"?

So I finished book 7 just two days after it came out. (And that was reading it slowly). I watched all 5 movies, including special features on the first 4. And, I've started re-reading the books. However, I'm still having Harry Potter withdrawls. What else can I possibly do to ease up the symptoms?

A related question is what is your notion of free will? I see two "natural" notions of free will. In the first, we have free will only if we can break any law of nature whatsoever that could control us. The second is the one that I propose in the question : we have free will if we are the laws of nature.

I cannot accept the first notion because it is too much against the foundation of science. So, I am left with the second one. This other one does make sense because, if you are the laws of nature, then you have no reason to feel that you are controlled. You control. I know that most people do not think that they are the laws of nature, but this is only because we think of the laws of nature as something that is separated from the world.

I guess by laws of nature, I mean the reality. The reality (or the Reality) does not need outside laws; it contains its own laws. It is the home of all laws. Because, ultimately, we are the Reality, we are right to feel that we have free will.

I recently read a newspaper story that referred to the "late" Robert F. Kennedy. He's been dead for almost forty years. Could I say "the late Leonardo Da Vinci"? or "the late Genghis Khan"?

Back when slavery was legal, black people were not the only ones used as slaves. There were Indian (from India) slaves, Chinese slaves, and even some European slaves. So why is it that only black people moan and complain about it (many generations later)?

i wrote it in 9th grade(im going into 12th now), but i found it the other day and added it to my blog today. here it is, let me know what you think!

NEVERLAND
Here I am
Sitting on my speed boat in the middle
of the Atlantic Ocean. Suddenly,
A ship full of angry pirates blasts itself
Against my boat, causing sparks to
Erupt! In desperation, I jump out for fear
of being burnt alive. As I gasp for breaths,
In the cold ocean blue,
I see the maligning marauders escaping with
My precious pet ducky!
How will I survive? My only friend is gone,
While I slowly lose energy and am
Doomed to drowning. Thankfully,
a helicopter magically appears to save me from
My fated future. Out jumps an
Amazingly gorgeous man, who goes by the name of Ken.
He hoists me up, and we fly off to
Neverland, where we get married and live
Happily ever after!
However, my dreams are crushed when I
Realize I am sitting in a bathtub,
Married to a doll named Ken.
Living alone, I've gone a bit crazy.

My neice would like something new to read after the Harry Potter series, her favourite books. She is a 10 year old with post-highschool reading levels. She enjoys fantasy the most. Please list books people her age would like to read.

What do you think will happen to Harry Potter in future?

I am a huge Harry Potter and I hope as well as think that it will be a piece of cake for children at least for the next 20 years or so. Even though the final book disappointed me a bit (see the other questions I have asked today from my profile), still I will never be able to forget the phenomenon it has created, myself. The first ever Harry Potter book that I read was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2003, and even though I didn't understand half of it (I didn't even know that there were two previous books), I have stayed glued to the books ever since.

Finally, let's all raise a glass to Harry Potter, the boy who lived, and JKR, the lady who stirred the world.

Unfortunately, I don't know the title of it, or who the author is. I only know some words to it. "Hoy me voy. Quiero ser noche para vestirme de estrellas. Quiero ser lluvia para circundar los campos. Y resballar por las ventanas con sabor de lagrimas."
Help, anyone?
