Back when slavery was legal, black people were not the only ones used as slaves. There were Indian (from India) slaves, Chinese slaves, and even some European slaves. So why is it that only black people moan and complain about it (many generations later)?

I am in no means justifying slavery, I am just wondering why we only talk about black slaves and don’t mention anything about slaves from other races.

Sir,
You know your the first person outside the lodge to say that.
answer is that media hips it all up try talking to your fellow Americans and find the truth. I know this too so I don't complain and I know that tribe and clans of Noah over the past 7000 plus years has been subjected to some sort of slavery. If it can happen to Gods chosen people it can happen to anyone.
Peace to all Noah's descendants

It is because of the circumstances and differing racial characteristics. Black Africans were used for slavery purposes in the United States in larger quantities and for centuries longer than Amerian Indians were.
Why?
1. 90%+ of all American Indians died from European brought diseases. A work force isn't viable if it dies off quickly.
2. Jamestown set the stage. Jamestown is a swamp. In the early 1600s (until the early 1900s) there was really no mosquito protection. So in 1619 a few black Africans were brought over and none died. Meanwhile, the whites and Indians were dying off at an alarming rate. Black Africans have a genetic resistance to Yellow Fever. B/C they didn't die more were brought over.
3. Some Indians were enemies, some were slaves, some were free. So it was hard to ID what type of Indian it was by sight. However, initially, all blacks were slaves so easy identification made owning black slaves desirable.
4. If an Indian ran away, they had places to go. They had home field advantage. Black Africans? They had an ocean to cross, and many times their family was on the same plantation or on neighboring plantations, so there was really no where to go.
5. Indians were not used to slavery. It wasn't culturally done. However, many tribes of in Africa used warfare as a means of capturing people and make them part of their own tribe, which is a form of slavery. So black Africans had experience with slavery and there was less resistance to the concept when Europeans brought guns, wine, and clothes/jewelry for slaves.

Because the blacks were used for the longest and were treated the most brutally. They had no means to escape since it is plain to see that they are not white.
More of them were used like animals and Africa became the Worlds slave market.Although whites were used,it was usually as indentured servants. They had to work off a debt and then were set free.Once free,it is impossible to differentiate them from other whites. They could and did run away and live in other parts of America.
The same goes for the Chinese.
However,Africa remained a source for slaves right up until the 20th century. It has seared the minds of most blacks and it is something that is hard to get over.
The Civil War was fought because of the slave situation and even right up until the 1950's there were Jim Crow laws in the South. Those laws effectively kept the black as chattel.
It is still being worked through, some blacks excel and some fail. Most races do not have so much torment in their history however.
It has seared the American black populace.

The Black population in the US is large - the larger the population -the more likely we are to hear the moans and complaints.
There has been slavery as long as there has been more than one person. Unfortunately it continues to this day.
We should ALL be moaning and complaining about slavery ---any color -any age ,any gender -any country for any reason !

well maybe b/c it had a bigger affect on african slave descendents. i mean some people of the black race dont even kno the history of their family. the dont kno wat part of africa their family was from, wat plantation their family was kept at, or even if their family was enslaved or free. its a big headache. people like to know their roots.where they came from and most black americans cant do that. and blacks werent the only slaves in the us native americans were used as slaves as well. its just the majority just happened to africans. they were more vulnerable and some naiive and some traitors. money is the main idea of this topic.
