i finished a book last night. do you know a good book that you would recommend. i like mostly horror and mystery books, and i need a book that is at grade 9 or higher. im 15 by the way if that helps.

Watchers by Dean Koontz (my favorite author) (Not to be confused with Dean R. Koontz who is also good). Any other book by him is also great but that is my favorite. He falls in the horror genre, but I always find that his books are about the characters, not the horror (though in some books there is plenty.). By the way, it makes me very happy to see a 15 year old who wants to read. Watchers would be age appropriate I think.

I always like the Stephen King's books like Christine and The Stand and one of Agatha Christie's mysteries are always a good read.

Anything by Dean Koontz, but Odd Thomas is a favorite.
She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb (this one doesn't really fit your criteria for horror / mystery, but it's one of the best I've ever read)

Then try Eragon and Eldest. They are good too.

TWILIGHT is really good. It's by Stephenie Meyer. It's a love story about a girl who's in love with a vampire. It has an even amout of suspense and romance.

I'm 15 as well. If you like mystery, try any of the novels by Mary Higgins Clark. Such as, "Little Girls in Blue".

the uglies the pretties and the specials it is a series of books by Scot westerfiels also the christy miller series (you will fall in love in both)

Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. This isn't horror or
mystery, but it is a GREAT cowboy story.
