I mean, Pearl Harbor was a strategic blunder, but invading the U.S.? That would have been suicide. I read that they had plans of invading Mexico and moving up along the coast to California. How could this have possibly been seen as a good idea by the Japanese, if this is even true?

I know it's good for stuff like second-hand tapping, hammering, pulling off, etc. because it makes the loud and soft sounds sound the same, but then what exactly does the attack do? Does it just make the initial sound wave louder when you turn it up? And sustain is how long the signal lasts? So if I wanted more crunch, I'd turn the sustain down and the attack up, right?

okay this may sound silly. but i have always had this dream of mine to become an actress. and i have done many similar things in school. i can memorize things quick. i have a good sense of expression. i can do it. but the only problem is how? how do these great respected actors get where they are today? where do i start? how can i get to these casting calls? what can i do? i want to do this as soon as possible. the faster i get started, the more experience i have of fulfilling my dreams. i also need something, that can support me and my mom. you know, if they need me to travel, they take my mom with me, and take care of our needs. and its not like i am completely without experience. i have been in a movie before. but i don't know how to get back there. if anyone has any information on casting calls or anything like that, please let me know.

Can anyone describe--and give evidence of--any universal truths outside of these four claims:

Time exists.
Space exists.
Energy exists.
Matter exists.

Isn't everything else just a derivative of one or more of these four things? Please, only include what you believe to be universal truth that can be substantiated with empirical evidence or logical reasoning. I'm willing to hear out any long-winded (read as comprehensive) examination.

why is a film not capable of doing this as well as a book?

are there no films which zero in on the internal dialogue...and i'm not talking about [badly/ineply done] narated voiceovers, like in "being john malkovich" here--however entertaining the film was in other ways.
