Not counting, like, Moody in GoF, have your opinions about certain characters gone through major changes?

For example, my ideas about Arthur Weasley have drastically changed. In CoS, he seemed to be a kind of quirky, mediocre "yes, dear" kind of guy, oblivious to much of what goes on with his sons. Later, he seems to be a much more mature, wiser guy, very talented. That he knows when the trio snuck off, saying, "please. you're talking to the man who raised Fred and George" shows he's been "in the loop" all along.

GOODBYE

Day after day,
The pain becomes more real,
All I can hope is maybe someday,
The hurt will finally heal,

I miss all the days laughing,
I miss the way you talked,
I miss all the smiling,
And all the times we walked,

The accident happened,
The pain will last,
I wonder if the risk would have slackened,
If you hadn't been going so fast,

My heart was breaking,
The news brought great grief,
It was breathtaking,
And I found no relief,

The pain was so terrible,
It still is to this day,
Sometimes it is unbearable,
Even to this very day,

This will hurt more than a bit,
The challenge is here,
I can find no way around it,
I have to say it here,

I will miss you,
I cannot lie,
I hope you miss me too,
But for now I have to say goodbye.

It`s quite obvious we human beings are a form of animal species. We not only posses the concious thinking mind we are also hard wired with emotions and instincts. If two man stare into eachothers eyes with discontent, the humans bodlily posture resembles that of Mad dogs squaring off. Dogs growl and show their fangs - humans lips tighten, forehead scrunches, and fist clinch. In light of these animal instincts we posses we have used our concious thinking minds to overcome these animal behaviors in some respects. I.E. We no longer communicate through growls and grunts we currently use language, computers, imagery etc...etc..
Are we not as primitive as the cro-magnum man when it comes to the question of war. We no longer bludgeon eachother with clubs to death, now we use sophicated weaponry that has the potential to wipe out swaths of people. There is really no difference. We like the Neanderthal rely on our animal instincts (not our thinking brains) to resolve disputes. War is primitve

When I write my poem it's not to anyone specific.
Because in our own way, each person is terrific.
Which is why I'm so annoyed when some people say
things are so bad.
Most of the poems I read seem so very sad.
So please don't think I am simply trying to be an ***.
Whatever is bothering you. Remember this too shall pass.

This doesn't come up much in life, so I'm not looking for much in the way of answers, nor of interest.

I'm probably just typing it here instead of Word so I can ponder it later, for no better reason than I've become both fond, and uncharacteristically distracted from a rigid pattern self-imposed habits by Yahoo QA.

I've been examining a phenomenon that never made much sense from the beginning. It was a shot in the dark in an attempt to examine every possible cause for something I'd noticed.
My effort was intended discount the possibility. Not to prove it.

But it turned out to be a major job. I ended up accumulating a million and a half items on a database, scrutinizing them.

But the further I go, the greater the evidence argues that something outrageous, contrary to logic, insane, is happening around us in complete defiance of what even I, can accept as true.

What, really, is the value of just knowing for the sake of knowing what you don't want to know?

For example, King Arthur pulls the sword from the stone and this sets off a chain reaction that effects some kid in modern day....perhaps even finding a key element of that story (Excalibur). This can be replaed with any well known legend. Someone finds Paul Bunyan'a hat and becomes a giant....just as random examples. I know in The da Vinci Code and Harry Potter used the story of Nicolas Flamel. But Nicky the Alchemist isn't as well know as King Arthur.

Well thanks for the help!

You tried to control me,
but it never really worked.
You tried to make me say things,
but the words wouldn't come out.
You tried to force me to do things,
but you never knew how.
You were jealous of me,
but I don't know why.
You wanted to take over my body,
but I didn't let you.
You wanted more than me,
but I always had less than you anyway.
You never had faith in yourself,
but I always had faith in you and myself.

Also another poem:
What is evil?
Could it be you?
OR could it be me?
What about your friends?
OR your loved ones?
What could it be really?
OR do you already know?

Is it the hatred on this world?
Is it the people whom have no soul?
Is it the sadness around us?
Is it the unforgiving people?

Who does really know?
I don't but maybe you do!
If you do know, do tell me and others,
So we can destroy it,
or try and live around it!

We really need to see this through, we never wanted, to be abused, we'll never give up, it's no use. If we're f-cked up you're to blame.

Hi everyone, I'm bored as can be!!!! So here's a small poem that I wrote about boredom. Thankz!

(noname)

Sitting at your desk,
with a pencil in your hand
and a sheet of paper in front
of you.
You've been sitting for hours
like this and haven't even
put a single word on the paper.
Nothing to do, nothing to see,
nothing, nothing, nothing.
That's what you think
but something is out there
waiting......

Hope you like it!! :D

I dreamt the whole of book 7 last night.
I can't remember how it went exactly, but it began in a muggle shopping mall with Harry, Ginny, Neville and Hermione looking at shoes and waiting for Lockhart to make an appearance, for some reason. They have received their Hogwarts letters and discuss whether they are going back, deciding they should. All of a sudden, the mall dissolves, with the Death Eaters and Voldemort swooping down upon the four on broomsticks. Ginny, Neville and Hermione battle the D.E and Voldy, while Harry realizes that it is July 31 and he has to return the letters to McGonagall immediately to say they are returning to Hogwarts or they will lose their place. Unfortunately the letters are in the form of hundreds of cards, all perforated together and Harry has to break them apart and send them one at a time (wtf?). He spends ages doing this, while trying to avoid the flames of the Hungarian Horntail who has joined Voldy as a DE (lol). Harry then remembers that he is a wizard and uses the Diffindo spell to break the cards apart. He sends them away and it is at this point that I realize that I am reading the book and can’t resist the temptation to flick through the pages I haven’t yet read to find out who dies. I see that the whole book involves this one scene (god, how boring!) and read the end pages. Bellatrix and Narcissa die, but Voldy is lying on the ground under a tree, merely stunned by Neville’s Petrificus Totalus. Harry, Neville, Ginny and Hermione are relieved how it is all over (but Voldy’s still alive!!!) and Harry wants to resume his relationship with Ginny. However, Ginny bursts out, saying, ‘You can have him, Hermione, if it will make you so happy! I don’t like him anymore anyway! Neville, I love you!’ It is then that I wake up, feeling quite shocked lol.

I certainly hope JK has written the book a billion times better than this. lol. This is nowhere near what I have consciously envisioned!
