Hi Everyone....I would really appreciate serious answers on this question, as it is not worth my time to chase down false answers. Thanks!

So...I've written one book, and gone through a place that printed it and provided it...it's even listen on Amazon...but that's about it. I never had to pay to have it published, and that was nice...but now I want to go about finding a real agent who will accept my work (I have the beginnings of about 3 more books, as well as a children's book written). I want one that is certified, and will be able to promote my work, without it costing me money outright...I'm a bit wary of that kind of business. I'm working on a degree in English, which I'll take to the editing world, and hopefully be able to make more contacts, but as of now I have very little contact with the publishing world, and I would very much like to continue to produce work. Any suggestions?

Thank you~

When it comes to society, i feel like an alien. I mean i feel like nobody thinks about life the same way i do. I'm only 15 years old, so a lot of the kids in my grade act very... childish. Everyone else in my grade only gives a sh!t about getting good marks, going to class, learning useless information. How can you learn about ancient civilizations or Macbeth while people in the world are starving to death, raping, murdering, commiting war crimes... i just dont understand how all the kids in my grade can be so content while such bad things are happening in the world. It feels like everyone else has been brainwashed to think about everything in a really fcked up way.. Another example are the expectations of society. Everyone in the surrounding society seems to be after the same thing: money. Lots of people seem so materialistic, just trying to get as much sh!t as they can.

well thats the end of my rant.
if you read that whole thing, you are the best
anyone else feel this way???

This one is about the major issues of the world.

A Perfect World

A perfect world is a place in my dreams
Where violence and drugs could never exist
A world that can never become, it seems
While the gangs and dealers still persist
Turf wars go on as they fire in teams
When the people could stop it by clenching a fist
Children shoot liquids inside them in streams
The world has yet to even get the gist
People ignore all the cries and the screams
That pursue in the path of a hit man's list
No one catches the scandalous schemes
We expect all our people to coexist
When we smash all their hopes with hints and gleams
Of a better society, but all tries are missed
No more is there love in the list of our themes
Good times and happiness are only reminisced
No one can imagine why our world teems
With violence, yet thought of stopping it is only a mist
This is why a perfect world is a place of my dreams
Because the lines of this poem will be simply dismissed.

How is it?

Below, I've provided a description of a (phil) course I'm considering taking this upcoming term. I was hoping you could provide some perspective as to what you think the course will really offer and what I can expect to get out of it. (I have my own ideas, but I'm interested in how other people might understand such a course description.) If you've taken a class of this nature, please feel free to share your experience with me. I'm an eng/phil double major so you can see why I might find this class interesting ...

Look forward to your answers!

it's amusing to see that most people revert to movies and comic book characters as their base for mutant powers.

use your imagination, remember john lennon's song imagine. transport yourself outside of the box. read carlos castenada's invisible world. marcus arrielus, rene' descartes, meditations of marcus aurelius antoninus, beelzebub's tales to his grandson. extend your thaughts into the unknown, even in fear you can find that there is nothing to fear.

There was a young girl
in tears
during the reception at
Charles Bukowski's house
following his burial.

A man asked his widow,
'is she a relative?".

"No...she lived across the street,
Hank loved her
and she adored him...
she may be taking his death
the hardest of any of us".

Every man should have
such a young girl in his life.

(Check out my other 2 poems i have posted if you haven't already.)

If people could know my thoughts for one day, they would understand why I'm so fearful and scared to do anything with my life.

What would people think or understand about you?

I think not, freedom of thought unless you restrict others is close to my thinking. Living is enough of a gift, we need an explanation too??
