Well it depends what you mean by right...I don't do things that are wrong (as in immoral) however, is just being neutral and not hurting anyone enough to be considered "right" or should I be doing more, taking positive actions to actually help others? (Which I do much less frequently I must admit). My conscience doesn't allow me to do things that are morally "wrong" however I am also not compelled to be a selfless martyr always giving to others & neglecting myself. Let's say that I do what I want so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else & if it helps someone else then that's even better...

What is right is a very subjective thing.
When I was young I wasted time thinking I HAD to do what was my family's perception of what was right.
As I get older I still ocassionally try to please my mother.
I realized I never will. Thus, I have had to figure out what I thought was right and eventually what was right changed from time to time and that is ok. I am now more me than I have ever been. I like it. I am barely ever feeling guilt anymore.

How often are they the same? More often than not. Circumstances often dictate what is right and wrong.
What is important that I make that decision. Whether it is wrong or right...I made the decision and I pay the consquences.

There is a great deal of contentment when as a person we reach that balance between what we have to do and what we want to do.

Thankfully, most of the time doing what I want is doing the "right" thing. We're talking 24 hours in a day.

So...honestly...there's some part of every day that I do something I want (give the person that cut me off on the road the finger, say a curse word) that is not exactly "right".

I want to spend my entire life doing what's right it's just that I have to do certain things like go to work that prevent me from doing what I really want to do which is just help people all day long instead of working all night by myself and being exhausted most days.

I think some of us just have to do what is right to fulfill our needs....it was never about me ...it was never about toys, it was about love, the material things that come in life are my bonuses, I do own a home but worked, I do have my own truck ....but everything could be gone and I still have me and my friends and love of my children
