of course you can still be an actor is you cant sing. i am like a million miles away form a good singer but i still act and i have been in several plays and taken acting classes. the chances of being a proffesional theatrical actor are lower if you cant sing but if you want to be a film actor than thats fine.

Personally I think that a well rounded actor is one that can do a little of everything. So, I would at least take singing and dancing lessons so that you could at least get into chorus of a show. You don't have to sing and dance as well as you act. What you don't want to happen is for someone to ask if you sing and dance, and you say, "No."

lol I love some of the answers you've received lol sorry anyways it depends on what field of acting you want to you into , if you want to be in more of operas and musicals then no, I've been in both musicals and regular plays , although I have a good voice I've worked with some not so good voices its not about how well you can sing its about how well you can sell yourself, it doesn't have to be good , but if you want to try it , make sure your voice doesn't crack lol now if you just don't want to sing that's fine too, but it does put some restrictions on how many performances you'll be in ! I wish you the best of luck!

Acting and singing are two completely different things. Unless you plan on doing a musical, singing shouldn't be a factor when it comes to getting "discovered."

Acting doesn't normally require singing, they are totally different things unless your are talking about Musicals such as Annie get your Gun. I think just as long as you can get your head into the mindset of whatever character you are playing and do a good job singing talent would not matter.

I think it may help you to be spotted if you can sing well, but I definitely don't think that will stop you from being a good actor as long as you have the talent.

good actors ussually becme good out of discipline. singing is a skill which you can learn, so if you really wanna be good, you should learn to train your vocal chords, coz itll come handy in straight acting anyway. and besides, the more skills you, the more opportunities you get so you better invest in singing lessons if you wanna go far. you probably could still act well, but to be versatile in all sorts of performance is what makes you exemplar.

If you can't sing don't do musicals, do plays. There is no required singing or dancing for those. Although, it would help if you were doing a musical.
