I think Lupin will. We'll know for sure on the 21st!

First of all, people keep misquoting Rowling. She did NOT say that two characters would die-- she said that two people would die who she did not originally plan on killing, and that one person who she did think would die has been spared. Before that interview, she stated that the trio would all survive, which has led to the speculation that at least one of these three are now going to die.

Personally, I don't believe she'll do that. There are just SO MANY characters running around that it could be almost anyone-- Lucius, Percy, Lupin, Moody, Bellatrix, Neville, McGonagall, Snape, Draco, etc. I'd kind of like to see her kill of Rita Skeeter, but I can't imagine that adding anything to the plot =)

Either way, we won't know for sure for another week!

Will give short version of theory -- Rowling has said two will die.

If Voldemort counts as one of the two, move one of the following two categories from dying to barely surviving.

Category 1 -- Key allies of Harry -- Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Lupin, Luna, Ginny, Moody, Tonks, and Neville. Some of this group will be involved in a diversion to distract Voldemort while Harry and others take out Nagini.

Category 2 -- Unclear devotion -- Petunia Dursely, Professor Snape, Peter Pettigrew, and Draco Malfoy -- In the final confrontation, one of these characters will sacrifice themselves to save Harry.

Bottom line -- Voldemort and one or two others die in the climactic battles. Harry lives but loses someone close. Harry and whoever else lives pass their NEWTs and become aurors.

Ginny dies.

The Theory:

Ginny will be pulled into the "final battle", and just as Voldemort casts "avada kedavra" in Harry's direction, she moves in front of Harry and casts a quick "Protego!". But because Avada Kedavra is one of the most powerful spells in the world, only some of the curse is reflected back to Voldemort. Ginny takes half of the impact, and so does Voldemort. As Harry desperately cries, "Ginny! No, you can't die!" Ginny will smile a sad smile and tell him "Goodbye, Harry." She and Voldemort will die from their already weakened bodies from the first half of the "final battle" and from loss of blood. Harry will sob over her dead body. In the epilogue, Harry will reflect on his friends and what they did after the "final battle", like for example Ron and Hermione marry years after, and Neville becomes a traveling Herbology researcher, and Luna succeeds her father's job as editor of the "Quibbler." After reflecting on these things, Harry goes to a cemetary, where Ginny's body is buried. He lays some flowers on the grave and, out loud, tells her how everyone is doing. Then, after he leaves the cemetary, there is some tear-jerking remark about his adventure that leaves us all to cry.

"Neither can live while the other survives." That doesn't nessacarily (how in the world do you spell that?) mean that one kills the other. Voldemort's death in my theory was inflicted upon him by himself. The only rold Ginny plays is that she half-reflects the curse.

I doubt Ron will die in the end. Harry seems to lose parental figures throughout the series, and turns to his friends for support. I think Hagrid is much more likely to die than Ron.

I highly doubt that Ron will die because JKR won't let Ron and Hermione's relationship die . Harry told Ginny that he likes her, but Ron and Hermione have a love/hate relatioship so they never did tell the other how they really feel (barly did they know that they felt that way). I think that jkr will let their relationship live on and let them survive.

WARNING: SPOILER!

What I read is that some guy hacked onto some thing that had HP7 on it and posted what happens in the end, I read what he said and he said that Hermione dies (killed by Voldemort) and Hagrid is killed by Snape. Oh, and Malfoy starts experimenting with Horcruxes.

Anyone who professes to have a confirmed answer is full of it. But my OPINION is that all the foreshadowing has been leading up to Ron sacrificing himself for the greater good.

The book is not out until the 21st. Anywhere. And those who preordered online won't get their copies before then either.
