I am sad because the world is so corrupted and there are many people who don't have the insight to see all the things that are messed up about it. If the world is a messed up place and many of the things are overlooked by most people, then how will such things ever be changed for the better? Why can't the world be more progressive? Why do people get so caught up in their old ways, even if such ways are harmful in the long run?

I thought it was just the most interesting thing. I would love to see where my ancestors are from, since I am of mixed heritage. Where can one go to get this done?

Validation of the fact that we are successfull, pretty, intelligent, nice, lovable etc.

Isn't the notion of friendship selfish at it's base? In that we NEED them and they NEED us, be it for emotional or material reasons. Isn't it a give and take relationship? Or am I wrong? Can little anecdotes about people demonstrating unconditional love to friends simply anecdotes and not reflective of the true nature of what we call "friendship"?

Sorry if I sound pessimistic. But it's just a thought that I am having these days.

the CAUSE you live for... not that other passion.

okay, got your attention. what events took place to lay the groundwork for your primary interest in life? you have found your cause, you have acquired your knowledge base, you have built and expanded your comfort zone: but WHY did you choose THIS particular passion, and WHEN did you realize it?

For me, it's the A Series of Unfortunate Event Books. They aren't bad books, it's just that I'm 17 years old, so I don't flaunt the fact that I love them. Also, the Alex Rider series and the Maximum Ride series.

So I'm trying to play More Than Words but it says to tune strings 1/2 step down. I read that I have to tune to Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb on the guitar tuner. I can get the top (6th string) to read Eb, but for other strings, it seems to just skip from previous note straight to next note.

For example, if I was tuning 5th string to Ab, it would either be Gb - A - B#. Like there's no Ab or A#...any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

My mother has written a lovely children's book. I didn't realize just how talented she is. Does anyone know who we should show her work to? The contact information for someone who could help her get published would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I love salsa, tango, and belly dancing. I like middle eastern inspired music; it's so beautiful and entralling, almost hypnotizes.

“Are you a God?”
Buddha’s reply was
“No.”
“Are you an Angel?”
“No.”
“Then what are you?”
“I am Awake.”

To a life of servitude? By the way, what exactly is wrong with a life of servitude; it is not often as extreme as slavery? Every mother is a server to her child and we are all dependent on that!

im 12 (almost 13) and have been acting for a few years. i have taken classes and have been in several school and community plays. i really want to get some expeiriance with film acting and recently took a film acting class. i would really liek to be in a film, the problem is, my parents dont want me to get an agent. they say actors who start as kids get to caught up wiht fame like Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen twins. they say if I want an agent,, I can get one when I move out of the house.
I live in a very small town (bellingham, wa) so it is hard to find film auditions. i was wondering if anyone knew how to find auditions for films that are open castings, even smaller student films or low budget films in my area.

thanks so much!
