Agents look for actors that have a lot of LEADING roles in theater, preferably on the Regional Theater Circuit.
They have no interest in where you locally perform.
They want credits! Lots of strong acting credits.
Lead roles!
That's what they can sell to the Casting Director.
If you want to act, contact the Regional Theaters and ask what the audition procedure is.

agents look for talented actors who will make alot of money for them because they get 10-15% of whatever the actor makes.an agent does not get paid untill the actor does.
if they ask for upfront fees it a scam!

They look for someone who will make money for them, you have to be someone who they can sell.
