One might say that you are never too old to want to try something, but you are not too old. If you want to be the best at something then you must stick to the task, eat, sleep, and breath the task you want for yourself. Remember, there is a difference in being the best and just thinking you are the best. To truely be the best at something is to admit that you are allowed to make mistakes. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. When the ora of what you want to become and who you are to become meld as one, then you will be where you should be.

Try Emotional Freedom Technique to sort that out for yourself.
You can download a free manual on www.emofree.com
And just think about what being the best in something really means to you? Is this based on an inner voice which does push you in the right direction or is there a need to be loved, or a totally unhealthy need for perfection involved or something different?
Imagine you have reached your goal and you are the best in something, how would you feel, what would this mean to you?
Ask yourself then the following question: If you are the best in something, what do you want through HAVING that, that is even more important?
This might give you some clarity.
All the best.

You lack patience and have unrealistic expectations.

Perhaps with maturity and age you will ease up on yourself.

A person who is famous.....they didn't get there is three lessons. They worked for years to get where they are.

The best become the best by hard wok and time. You can't expect yourself to be any different than any other human.

Do you have ADD? or ADHD?
Analyze your life and how you do things. - because right now it isn't working is it?

Why keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.

I don't think your fear is deeper than not being the best. Think about your past and what your life has been like and who and what made imprints on you. Figure yourself out.....then work on what needs to be changed.

There is something special about each one of us on this earth. We are all very special and individual and our genetic make up makes us so. The most hideous evil person has a purpose in life. The most vain beautiful person has a purpose in life and all those who are "mediocre" have a purpose in life. How can you know at 19? You can't, but you will find purpose. Just keep believing and you will find it.

You live on the surface. You have no heart, just desire. Until you follow a passion, you will drift aimlessly, looking for an easy way to success. You must follow a passion, and weather the storms THAT WILL arise, and challenge you.

"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."
