Hi DyBreed,
Your question is indeed an important one for it concerns an experience, an emotional void that is commonly felt by everyone at some points in their lives; it is especially felt at points of transition when the mind is ready to move on to a new level of individual development and growth. I used to sometimes experience feelings of emptiness when I was a teenager, and I also didn't feel as if I belonged in church. That you feel out of place in church may be an issue that is not entirely connected to your feelings of emptiness, but the activities that will help to eliminate your feelings of emptiness may indirectly help you as well to decide whether attending church is right for you.
The way to get rid of the feeling of emptiness is to learn about yourself and know yourself well. The human being has various psychological needs which fall into at least four main categories of need: erotic, creative, intellectual, and social needs. And the human has the required energies to fulfill these needs. When the energies are not being well spent the empty feeling arises as a way of calling the mind into action to take care of the self.
You have to identify your psychological needs that are not being fulfilled by your life experiences, and take charge of your situation with the motive to fulfil those needs. To learn more about yourself and identify what kinds of stimulation your mind thirsts for, you can trial new activities that you normally do not perform, and place yourself in new situations that you have not experienced before. It is in those times when we feel empty that we most benefit from opening ourselves to experience and novelty. Test yourself on your various talents and competencies by performing activities that require those talents and competencies. Individuals normally have to venture into various places before they figure out which places are the most compatible with the satisfaction of their needs, preferences, and interests. It is by testing yourself that you can discover your passions, set life goals, and gain a deep sense of existential purpose.

Feelings are fickle. They are not based on truth. Going to church won't "fix" a feeling.
I haven't felt empty, but I've felt alone. Being a Christian, I wasn't supposed to feel alone, because God was always supposed to be with me all the time... so I couldn't tell anyone how alone I felt, because then I'd have to tell them that I felt like God didn't exist. If God was there, then why did I feel alone?
It wasn't until I discovered that feelings do not dictate truth, that I realized that I wasn't alone. Feelings can betray you, but we live in a society where feelings are truth. Just because you feel empty doesn't mean that you are.
If you are searching for something spiritual, it needs to be something more than an action like going to church. Church is religion, but God is about relationships. Find someone who knows the difference, and talk to them about it. Religion will get you nowhere.

Well.. I am 18 right now, I've felt this millions of times, and during a very long period. Is like if there is nothing is enough, just like if you wanted to do sth, but still you could not, for your missing something holds you back. It's awful! It is very good to get to know yourself. On behalf of that emptiness, you will find out there is a part of you you still do not understant. Meditation works hell good.
Reiki, is a good answer. It helps you find your inner you.
Maybe what you are needing is spiritual answers, already said, like christianity. For me it did not work. I realized all answers were on myself.
I understand you!

Sit down and try to think about what your missing in life. Try to just completely VANISH that bad feeling inside and think about th emore positive things in life. Also think about what you want to do in life and get a head start in a sturdy career.

I've been thru this several times, you have to find something you love to do and do it. A hobby, a career, do something you're really interested in learning and go for it!

You have to ignore the emptiness and replace it with questions. What do I want? Am I in it for me or for others? What *doesn't* interest me?
If that doesn't work: try the army.
