Isn't that contradicting?

The linguistics is contradicting but the meaning is not. Never say never means do not ever deem something is impossible.

I personally disagree with this proposition as I do believe Object facts which are True will never become false and vise-verse.
Example - It takes three atoms - two oxygen and one hydrogen to make a molecule of water. Therefore I feel comfortable in stating that a water molecule is "Never" made of carbon.

It's just a catchy saying that pretty much translates to the possibilties are endless, and that anything is possible.

Yeah it's contradicting, and that's probably why people use it so much because it's kind of interesting how it plays out.

The meaning of the word implies we have a sense of being in control but we all fall down. we all create a draft that follows our movements and that draft has the power to turn things around.

I will never hate you...
I will never leave you...
I will never hurt you...
This could go on for ever, get the point?

It is just an old statement referring to "never" being a word that 99.9% of the time will Never be fullfilled.

I don't think it's contradictory. The construction is the same as "never eat cheese" (or whatever). And it makes sense because nothing is ever certain in this life, and it's silly to burn one's bridges (there's another one!)

i guess they know, from there experience ,that when you do say never, over time you could see things differently and could change your mind, and they just want you to know a head of time.so that you don't make the same mistake.i don't know if it's really contradicting.

The idiom is without logic or reason. It is the vocalization of convenience: the fast food of language.
