my friend can memorize her music. she plays an instrument. she can memorize his music. she went to this honor orchestra thing on her first year. she can play all of her 3 songs by memory. one of them is just one page, they others are 2 pages long. like about 100 measures. this was her first year playing it and his teacher says she is the best player he has taught. is she a savant? has photographic memory or what? or is she just a good player?

She could very well be a musical savant or a prodigy. She obviously has a natural ability. People like that come along once in a lifetime. I hope that her parents see to it that she gets private, professional lessons in music.

I memorized all my music - I'm not a savant.
Play something enough and you'll memorize it, too. Your friend practices.
