a white dove falling from her flight because an arrow pricked right her heart.
for me, a white dove represents peace and also innocence, freedom and hope, once someone would hurt it or kill it in that way is a truely a violent and unjust act

I think you have an idea in your mind about violence but you'll get better metaphors if you communicate that - is there a message you're wanting to install? Are you thinking of 'violence' in the negative sense? Since the most common definition of violence is simply "swift and intense force" (e.g. a violent storm, 'violent love', a 'violent defense'), violence isn't necessarily negative. I realize it commonly has a negative connotation but such a metaphor could close minds instead of opening them if the kind of violence is not specified.
Also remember that words are surface structure which means they are in themselves a metaphor for the deeper structure (the meaning). Therefore, the word "violence" is already a metaphor in that sense. "The map is not the territory".
I like your question though, so off the top of my head if it's violence in a negative sense, a picture of a fist holding brass knuckles is one metaphor that would do it for me.
Cheers.

Hello,
This might be a little different but I would use the wolverine, a member of the badger family. It can be so mean and vicious it will attack an animal 10x its size incluging a human. Aboriginal trappers I work near tell me that they are so greedy that they'll attack, kill and eat the animal in caught the trap and when gorged, they will pee and defecate all over what is left to make darn sure no other animal can have a bite.
LOL, sounds like a lot of people I have heard about with respect to greed and vilence.
Regards,

Metaphorical? Does, or could that include a bullet piercing the mind which asked this question moving at 3,000 feet per second?

I think that religious name who do all terrorism all over the world. I dont want to name that religion as I dont want to have problems. In USA, there is a saying that, 'Not all ------ (name of that religion, but all terrorists are ------ (name of that religion)' So, when I hear that religious name or see that religious people, I see the concept of violence.

How do I say this metaphorically?
I'll take a crack at it.
...and God put the stars out so lightly, that finally, they blinded even Him.

A mirror.
Everyone has their own idea of what violence is, so a mirror would be fitting since one can look upon themselves to see what violence truly is.
