okay this may sound silly. but i have always had this dream of mine to become an actress. and i have done many similar things in school. i can memorize things quick. i have a good sense of expression. i can do it. but the only problem is how? how do these great respected actors get where they are today? where do i start? how can i get to these casting calls? what can i do? i want to do this as soon as possible. the faster i get started, the more experience i have of fulfilling my dreams. i also need something, that can support me and my mom. you know, if they need me to travel, they take my mom with me, and take care of our needs. and its not like i am completely without experience. i have been in a movie before. but i don't know how to get back there. if anyone has any information on casting calls or anything like that, please let me know.

First of all, remember that it doesn't matter how good you are; there are plenty of good actors out there. The defining factor in your acting career will be luck. You may be good at what you do, but if casting directors don't like you, you will not be cast. And there is no way to know if a particular casting director will like you...
If you've been in a movie before, you may consider joining the Screen Actors Guild. Visit www.sag.org to see if you qualify.
Casting calls... There are several Web sites that list them:
www.actorsaccess.com
www.backstage.com
www.exploretalent.com
www.instantcast.com
www.talenthunter.com
As to supporting your mom, consider what other aspiring actors do: a day job. Although "day" is usually a misnomer; most aspiring actors actually work nights, which leaves days free for attending acting classes and casting calls...

Start:
Do community theatre
School plays,
Local commercials
Print Work
Casting Calls:
www.craigslist.org - Everything
www.mandy.com - Tv & Film
www.playbill.com - Theatre
(Explore Talent is a scam, by the way)
These respected actors get where they are by having 1% talent and 99% HARD WORK.
What You Can do is; take as many classes/training as possible, learn new things, do community theatre, do submissions to agencies and bigger projects.
Now, concerning support, YOU ARE THE KID HERE. You should not have to support your Mom, that's her job. Also, usually the casting director will pay for you to travel for an audition, or your agency. If for work, the production company/studio will pay for travel. However, concerning your needs, you/your mom will have to support yourselves.
Though I'm unsure of who "they" is, if you are under 18, your Mom has to come along, BY LAW.
Also, you are considered a professional actor (by SAG and Equity), if you can make $8000 by acting....If that's enough to support you and your Mom, good!
Since you've been in a movie before, that's really good. Check the websites I gave you for casting calls, and try to get signed by an agency (look here: http://www.sag.org/sagWebApp/application?event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=AgentInformation ).
Also, The Ross Reports are your friend, check them for casting calls as well (www.rossreports.com).
Good Luck, hope it all works out.

Join the Drama department at school.
Go to College and major in Theater
Go to a University and get an MFA in Theater
Perform at your community college
audition for the Professional theater in your city.
After that go on the Regional Theater circuit.
By then, agents will be calling you to audition for them.

Take classes, and enroll in an acting school. Also, subscribe to trade papers like BackStage, and the Ross Reports. It lists all the auditions. I would also suggest getting an agent. It's their job to get you work.
