Why is it that humans can start out with good and pure intentions and end up with evil deeds? And what can be done to stop the next stone being laid on the road to hell?

After arwen gives up her immortal life for aragorn, how long after that does she live?

does she live out a natural human life from her human age or, how old her body appears, or does she have a longer lifespan b/c she was an elf?



i realize she lives some 190 after her surrender of her immortal life, but is that natural in tolkein's world?

Well to start it off, im a MAJOR theater buff. I love to act and this is my passion, and hopefully will one day be my profession. But anyways, im 15 years old and pretty talented at musical theater. So a local company is the first person EVER IN THE WORLD to do the popular rock opera RENT, and the only way i can do Rent, is if i skip a family cruise to the eastern caribbean. I decided to do Rent. Do you think this was the correct decision?

Okay, i've started a story about a girl, Ana, who's suicidal and depressed. She's also two-faced. At school, she's happy, once she walks through the front door of her house, she loses all of her pride. She isn't abused. Also, i have the points of view from the depressed girl, her 2 sisters, her best friend, and two guy friends. I'm hoping to have the story go from her being 14-24 or maybe older. I should've started a timeline, but i didn't and I already have 24 pages, including the names of the people when it switches points of view. It's kind of like the Blue Girl, but NOT the story, i mean when is changes points of view. i'd like your views on the story and advice on how i could keep the story going without it constantly refering back to Ana's suicidal ideation and depression. I'd also like advise on how to be a better writer and how i can improve my story even though i'm 24 pages in.

I'm asking this question because of what isn't in the Harry Potter books (which I have thoroughly enjoyed, BTW). Hogwarts interacts with counterparts from France & Eastern Europe, and there are mentions of wizardry in places such as Romania, Egypt, Ireland, etc. But nothing about America, which would be very out of place in the contemporary Muggle side of England. Is America just too far away, or is JK Rowlings following the footsteps of such British America-bashers (all admittedly distinguished novelists) as Charles Dickens, Graham Greene, and John LeCarre?

I am writing a book report on J.R.R. Tolkien's book, 'The Fellowship of the Ring'. In addition to the report, I have to write about the author. And one thing I need to answer in that is why he wrote this book.
