Do I ever! I am the definition of bibliophile, I love to read and collect books. My library is currently over 3000 and still growing.

Yes, I have many books. Buying and selling books is now my career, and I couldn't be happier about it! I get to pause and look through shelves of books, fill carts and then find homes for them. Too many have found a home with me, but I do clean house, because it just means I get to find more to fill those places!

I don't look for any particular book for personal collecting, though at one time I wanted Anne McCaffrey's books in hardback (Dragonriders of Pern) and a first edition Carrie by Stephen King and once upon a time I was going for Nancy Drew and some other YA authors (Rosamund du Jardin is one, in case anyone has heard of her!)

And as a former (and perhaps future) teacher, you can't pass a good book by/buy, you know?

Yes!! When I read a good book, I feel like I have to have it. I also enjoy reading books over, because if it's a really good book, it's a shame to only read it once. So, it's much more practical for me to own a book then borrow it from the library every time I want to read it. Books are a part of me and I need to have them

I love to read, so yes, I do collect a lot of books. I've have been reading since I was very young and I would probably kill myself if there were no books in the world.

I do collect a lot of books. I go to the used book store and tend to stock up on their books. Then I read through them, keep a LOT (too many really) then go back to the store. I read every chance I get. I really enjoy Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts, John Patterson, and others.

I despise library books. I prefer owning my own. I read a book a day or a book every other day. And I never get rid of a book after I read it. I have a library but it is bulging at the seams. I need a new house. Pax - C

Absolutely. I have probably at least 200. And I seem to have passed my addiction on to my daughters, ages 5 and 7 :)

If I collected back all that I have lent out and not gotten back, I'd have at least 300.

I especially love to collect the works of Shakespeare. I have several very, very old copies of his plays.

yes, A LOT! i need books like i need air!
i work at a bookstore, and the employee discount definitely helps! i also go to flea markets, yard sales, bookfairs, used bookstores and online for good deals. i have about 300 with me, and about 200 in storage. since space is always a problem, i cant buy as much as i want, and sometimes i end up donating them to my local library.
i want my books to be around me all the time, like a security blanket. weird, i know.
